A Wasted Life

Thank you John for your words and you are spot on with the tragedy of this lady. I updated what the painting is about. True story and a very sad one indeed. Thank you for your friendship and support of my artwork. So on we go creating the many facets of the human condition.

This is so deeply compelling. There seems to be a tragic reflection in those eyes. I'm amazed by the stories being told by that expression.

Hello Bunny and I really do appreciate you taking the time to comment on the portrait. There is quite a story within the painting. A woman who had everything in life or what she perceived to give her happiness ended up in her old age saying "I have had nothing but a wasted life". That was so shocking to me. As she had all the money, homes, trips, clothes you name it and yet empty inside. We artists will always have our art! It is a never ending river of creativity, imagination, emotions and passion. That woman was my Mother and she felt so cheated and sad. She is at peace now, I know it. Thank you for your words. Much appreciated.
